Celtic Knotwork Symbol

Interlaced and disciplined patterns are found in all Celtic decorative work, especially in medieval illuminated manuscripts, filling all empty spaces.  The unbroken lines suggest connectedness and continuity.  The threads have no beginning and no end, leading to eternity.  The repetitive nature of knotwork brings an inherent order to these mysteries.
