This simple interlaced spiral is based on a 9th century carving from the great monastic centre at Clonmacnoise.  All of us have Crosses to bear.  The circular joins the vertical and horizontal, signifying continuity, eternity and gives support to each arm of the Cross.  Continuity of support maybe from friends, neighbours or Eternal Beings, helping us to bear our Cross.
